Cover for the big what-ifs
Through super or out of pocket?
Life, TPD and income protection can generally be paid for from your super. Trauma cover can't.
Life insurance
Pays a lump sum to the people you choose if you die. Most policies also pay early on diagnosis of a terminal illness.
TPD insurance
Pays a lump sum if illness or injury means you're unlikely to ever work again, as defined in your policy.
Income protection
Pays a monthly benefit, commonly up to 70% of your income, while illness or injury stops you from working.
Trauma insurance
Pays a lump sum if you're diagnosed with a listed serious illness or injury, such as some cancers, heart attack or stroke.

Not sure where to begin?
If you're new to personal insurance, you're not alone. Start with the basics here.
Through super or out of pocket?
Most personal cover can be paid for either way. Here's how the two generally compare.
| Through super | Out of pocket | |
|---|---|---|
| Life cover | ||
| TPD cover | ||
| Income protection | ||
| Trauma cover | ||
| ‘Own occupation’ TPD definition | ||
| Premiums come out of your super balance | ||
| Premiums come out of your take-home pay | ||
| Income protection premiums generally tax-deductible to you |
General information only. Funds and insurers set their own terms, and tax depends on your circumstances. New TPD cover inside super generally uses an ‘any occupation’ definition. Speak with a registered tax agent about tax.

Common questions about personal insurance
What does All Insured do?
All Insured makes it easy to get quotes for personal insurance. When you ask for a quote, you'll be contacted to confirm the cover and amounts you'd like, and your quotes are prepared. We don't issue insurance policies and we don't give personal advice. If you'd like advice, we can refer you to the insurer that issues the cover.
Can I pay for my insurance through super?
Life, TPD and income protection cover can generally be held inside super, with premiums paid from your super balance. New trauma cover can't be held inside super (since 1 July 2014), so it's paid for outside super. Read how cover in super works.
Do you compare every insurer?
No. Quotes come from a selection of insurers, not every insurer or policy in the market. When you're contacted, you can ask which insurers can be quoted on.
Does it cost anything to get a quote?
No. Asking for a quote is free and there's no obligation to go ahead. Your quotes are prepared after you're contacted. We don't show prices on this website, because premiums depend on the insurer's assessment of your application. If you take out a policy, you pay premiums to the insurer, either from your super or out of pocket.
Will I be asked about my health?
Not on this website. If you decide to apply for cover, the insurer will ask about your health, lifestyle and occupation as part of assessing your application.
Who will contact me, and how?
Someone from one of the insurance businesses we work with will contact you by phone, text message or email, using the details you give us, to prepare your quotes. You'll only be contacted about the cover types listed in your consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
How is All Insured paid?
We may receive a referral fee for passing on your request. Asking for a quote costs you nothing, and there's no obligation to take out a policy.
Can I speak with a real person?
Yes. Every request goes to a real person, who'll confirm what you're looking for and prepare your quotes. You can also email us at info@allinsured.com.au.
