How All Insured works from request to cover

You tell us the cover you'd like and how much. We pass your request on, you're contacted to get your quotes done, and if you decide to go ahead, you apply with the insurer.

Who does what

Three parties are involved. Here's what each one does.

All Insured

Takes your request

You tell us the cover you'd like in about two minutes, and we pass your request on so you can be contacted. We don't give personal advice or issue policies.

Who contacts you

Prepares your quotes

One of the insurance businesses we work with contacts you, confirms the cover and amounts you'd like, asks the questions insurers need and prepares your quotes.

The insurer

Issues the policy

Writes the PDS and TMD, assesses your application, issues the policy and pays claims.

Step by step

  1. You ask for a quote

Choose the cover you'd like a quote for and the amount of cover you want, how you'd like to pay (through super, out of pocket, or not sure), and your name, mobile and email. We don't ask about your health on this website.

  2. We pass your request on

With your consent, we pass your request on so you can be contacted about the cover you asked for.

  3. You're contacted

You'll be contacted within 3 business days by phone, text message or email to talk through the cover you asked for.

  4. Your quotes are prepared

The cover and amounts you asked for are confirmed, along with whether you'd like to pay through super or out of pocket. Insurers need some information to price cover, which can include your health, occupation and lifestyle, so those questions are asked on the call, never on this website. Your quotes are then prepared. The choices and amounts are yours.

  5. You apply, if you're ready

If you decide to go ahead, the business that prepared your quotes, or the insurer, will explain how to apply. The insurer will ask about your health, lifestyle and occupation. You have a duty to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation when you answer.

  6. The insurer decides

The insurer may accept your application as it is, accept it with changes such as an exclusion or a higher premium, or decline it. If it's accepted, the insurer issues the policy and you'll have a cooling-off period, set out in the PDS.

The insurer's documents

Each one has a job.

Product Disclosure Statement

The insurer's document explaining what the policy covers, what it doesn't, the costs and your rights.

Target Market Determination

The insurer's description of the people a product is designed for, and how it should be distributed.

Policy schedule

If your application is accepted, the insurer sends a schedule setting out your cover, premium and policy details.

What you can expect from us

  • We only pass your details on to get you the quotes you asked for, and you're only contacted with your consent.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • We don't ask about your health, occupation or lifestyle on this website. Insurers need it to price cover, so you’re asked on the call.
  • We don't show prices on this site. Your quotes are prepared once you've been contacted, and the final premium depends on the insurer's assessment.
  • We don't give personal advice. The choices and amounts are yours.
  • We're upfront about how we're paid: we may receive a referral fee for passing on your request.
